Privacy Policy

EVPLUGGED respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed by the EVPLUGGED application, why it is used, how it is protected and how you can exercise your rights.

Summary: EVPLUGGED does not use advertising or advertising SDKs and, in the current app version, does not request location, contacts, camera or microphone permissions. Data processing is used for account operation, wallbox connectivity and charging functionality.

1. Data controller

The data controller is EVPLUGGED. For privacy or data-protection questions contact support@evplugged.pt.

2. Data we may process

Account data: email address, internal user identifier and, when provided, name/profile information.
Authentication data: technical information required to sign in and maintain an authenticated session. Passwords are processed by the authentication service and are not displayed in plain text to the app operator.
Wallbox/device data: device identifier, assigned name, firmware version, online state, configuration and user associations/permissions.
Charging data: charging sessions, dates and times, duration, energy, power/current, estimated costs and tariff periods, where applicable.
App configuration: charging modes, schedules, profiles, tariffs and other settings that the user chooses to store or synchronise.
Technical and security data: IP address, request timestamps and technical logs that may be processed by hosting/backend services for security, diagnostics and service operation.

3. How we use data

Create, authenticate and manage your account.
Associate your account with authorised EVPLUGGED wallboxes.
Display device state and enable remote commands.
Provide charging history, energy usage and estimated costs.
Synchronise settings and profiles when that functionality is used.
Protect accounts, devices and infrastructure against abuse or unauthorised access.
Provide technical support and respond to user requests.

4. Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we process data to provide the service requested by the user, on the basis of consent where required, and for legitimate interests relating to security, abuse prevention and service maintenance. Certain data may be retained where required by law.

5. Service providers

EVPLUGGED uses Supabase for backend functionality, including authentication, database, realtime synchronisation and server functions. Data is transmitted using protected connections. Technical service providers may process data only to the extent required to provide these services.

We do not sell personal data. The current app version does not use behavioural advertising.

6. Retention

We retain account data while the account is active or while needed to provide the service. Following a valid deletion request, the account and associated personal data are normally deleted within no more than 30 days, except where temporary retention is required for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention or technical integrity.

Technical backups may retain data for a limited period until normal replacement and are not reused for commercial purposes.

7. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data using the option available in the application or our public deletion page:

Delete Account & Data

When an account is deleted, personal data associated with that account is removed. If you own a shared wallbox, you must first transfer ownership to another associated user or release the wallbox. Releasing a wallbox removes all user associations and makes the device available to be claimed again. If you are not the owner, only your personal association is removed. Effectively anonymised data may be retained.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted communications, authentication and access controls. No Internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Where applicable law provides, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your data, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise these rights contact support@evplugged.pt.

10. Children

EVPLUGGED is an application intended for managing electric-vehicle charging equipment and is not directed to children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the application, services or legal requirements change. The update date will be shown at the top of this page.
